Kallin

(Ceallan)
Western Isles

A hamlet on the southeastern coast of the Hebridean island of Grimsay, opposite Ronay. It is the site of a modern harbour, built in 1985, which supports a shell-fish industry. Kallin is also home to the Boatshed, a repair facility focussing on traditional boat-building skills, which includes a museum illustrating the maritime heritage of the area.
