Argyll and Bute

A hamlet with a hotel, Calgary lies on a fine sandy bay in the northwest corner of the island of Mull. Calgary gave its name to the city of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.

The road south from the village has spectacular views of the Treshnish Islands and Coll, whilst to the north the road offers views of Ardnamurchan and Skye. The people of Calgary and the surrounding area were largely 'cleared' in 1822.
