A location in Strath Don, W Aberdeenshire, the farm of Lost lies to the north of the River Don near its junction with the Water of Nochty, a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Strathdon. Popular amongst tourist wishing to be photographed next to the sign, the local authority contemplated changing the name in 2004 because the sign-post was regularly being stolen.
