A location and a parish centred on Kinellar House in E Aberdeenshire. Kinellar is now bisected by the dual-carriageway A96 Trunk Road, which opened in 1998. The small settlement of Muir of Kinellar lies to the west, while Kinellar Primary School, Kinellar Community Hall and Kinellar Play Park are all located in the neighbouring village of Blackburn. Kinellar Parish Church is located at Kirkton, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the north northeast. This dates from 1801 but has been closed and the building was sold in 2005.
