A small village in West Lothian, Breich lies close to the Breich Water, 2 miles (3 km) east of Fauldhouse. Breich Railway Station once served coal mines and quarries in the area but remains open if little used. Confusingly there is another location comprising Wester Breich, Mid Breich and Easter Breich lying just 3 miles (5 km) to the northeast, which is associated with oil-shale mining.
