Barraglom

Western Isles

A small settlement located on the south coast of the island of Great Bernera in the Outer Hebrides, Barraglom lies to the northeast of the Bernera Bridge, 1½ miles (2.5 km) south southeast of Breaclete. The remains of a broch (Dun Barraglom) lie next to the shore. Until the building of the bridge in 1953, Great Bernera was accessed by a ferry which sailed through Loch Barraglom from the pier at Callanish.
