A small settlement overlooking Vallay Strand on the north coast of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Middlequarter (Gael: Ceathramh Meadhanach or Meadhonach) is located between Malaclate and Sollas, 7½ miles (12 km) northwest of Lochmaddy.
