Snishival

(Sniseabhal)
Western Isles

A small scattered crofting township which overlooks the west coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Snishival (Gael: Sniseabhal) lies a mile (1.5 km) south of Howmore and a similar distance northeast of Stoneybridge. Many of the croft-houses having been abandoned, the settlement was reinvigorated through the building of fine new homes in the 2000s.
