A location on the SE boundary of Argyll and Bute, Auchendennan comprises a 19th C. mansion, a farm at Wester Auchendennan and Auchendennan Muir, all located near the SW shore of Loch Lomond, a mile (1.5 km) south of Arden and 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Alexandria. The mansion now serves as a youth hostel.
