A location in East Lothian, Abbey lies on the River Tyne 1¼ miles (2 km) east northeast of Haddington. Abbey Bridge crosses the river, while Abbey Mill and Abbeymill Farm lies adjacent and Abbey Toll to the north on the A199 road. Amisfield Park lies immediately to the southwest.
