A location and scattered settlement of the Garnock Valley in North Ayrshire, Auchengree lies to the east of the River Garnock and southwest of Longbar, 1¼ miles (2 km) south southeast of Kilbirnie. The settlement is centred around Meikle Auchengree and Little Auchengree, with a farm at Langmuir of Auchengree to the south and Auchengree Bridge crossing the Powgree Burn closer to Longbar. For a time there was a foundry here and a mid-19th century building which was once the Auchengree Engine Works remains distinctive.
