Stronachie

Perth and Kinross

A small hamlet amongst the Ochill Hills, Stronachie is located 4 miles (6.5 km) northwest of Milnathort in SE Perth and Kinross. There was once a distillery here, served by a narrow-gauge railway that ran alongside the road from Craigow and Meikle Seggie, but both closed in 1928 and only scant ruins of the buildings remain. A small reservoir, located a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the southwest, was built to supply water to the distillery, but now abounds with fish.
