A small settlement on a headland of the same name, which represents the easternmost extremity of Fife, 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Crail. The settlement lies high above the sea and comprises a row of drab houses built in the 1970s for the staff of the adjacent coastguard station. Subsequently these have been sold off. Nearby there is an automatic lighthouse, while below, closer to the shore, are a series of private pitches for caravans and the remains of an older fishing settlement.
