Longhaven

Aberdeenshire

A hamlet situated next to the A90 trunk road in Buchan, NE Aberdeenshire, Longhaven lies 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Boddam and 4 miles (6.5 km) south southwest of Peterhead. The settlement benefits from a primary school, a hall and post-office. Red 'Peterhead' granite was quarried until recently immediately to the southeast. There was once a station here on the Boddam branch of the Great North of Scotland Railway, but the line closed in 1948.

Longhaven Cliffs represent a coastal reserve managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
