(Beinn Sheasgarnich)

Located between the Forest of Mamlorn and Loch Lyon in the Breadalbane district of W Perth and Kinross, this sprawling peak rises to a height of 1077m (3535 feet) and is the highest of the Glen Lochay hills. It qualifies as a Munro. The name Beinn Heasgarnich (or Sheasgarnich) is derived from the Gaelic for "sheltered hill" and its summit is marked by a cairn. Much of the surrounding area exceeds a height of 650m (2132 feet) and is peat moorland.
