Meall nan Tarmachan

Located on National Trust for Scotland land, north of Killin in Perth and Kinross, Meall nan Tarmachan is the tallest peak in the Tarmachan range, rising to a height of 1044m (3424 feet). The other three summits are Meall Garby, Beinn nan Eachan and Creag na Caillich. Meall nan Tarmachan is classified as a Munro and has predominantly smooth grassy slopes, unlike many of the surrounding mountains. Its name originates from Gaelic and means "hill of the ptarmigan".
