A remote railway station on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line of the Highland Railway, Strathcarron (Gael: Srath Carrann) is surrounded by the scattered settlement of Strathcarron, 3½ miles (5.5 km) east northeast of Lochcarron in Highland. This station opened in 1870 on the former Dingwall & Skye Railway. It incorporates a passing loop, with each line served by separate platforms. These platforms are connected by a typical lattice-girder footbridge.
Operated by ScotRail, Strathcarron Station is unstaffed and is used by only 8500 passengers annually (2015). It is preceded by Achnashellach Railway Station, 5½ miles (9 km) to the northeast, and followed by Attadale, 2¼ miles (3.5 km) to the south southwest.
