Parish of Kilmartin Kilmartin is a coastal parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 9 miles (15 km) north of Lochgilphead and 16 miles (26 km) south of Oban in Argyll and Bute.It is located in the old county of Argyllshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 104.3 sq. km (40.2 sq. miles).
