Parish of Kirkhope Kirkhope is a parish, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 9 miles (15 km) northwest of Hawick and 14 miles (22 km) southwest of Melrose in the Scottish Borders.It is located in the old county of Selkirkshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 92.8 sq. km (35.8 sq. miles).
