The village of Lewiston is located a mile (1.5 km) west of Urquhart Bay, near Glen Urquhart, on Loch Ness and directly to the south of Drumnadrochit, within Highland Council Area. The village was created by the Grant family in the late 18th Century. The village inn was at one time home to the local brewery.
