A scattered settlement on the Trotternish Peninsula of N Skye, Flodigarry is located 3 miles (5 km) north northwest of Staffin. Jacobite heroine Flora MacDonald (1722-90) was raised here in a cottage which now forms part of the Flodigarry Hotel. Mineral water is produced commercially from two boreholes here. Eilean Flodigarry lies a half-mile (1 km) offshore.
