A locality in North Lanarkshire, Duntilland lies a half-mile (1 km) north northeast of Salsburgh, on the opposite side of the M8 Motorway. Duntilland Farm lies on the southern slopes of Duntilland Hill, while Duntilland Quarry lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the east, extending to 69 ha / 170 acres and exploiting a microgabbro sill of Carboniferous age to produce aggregate for the building industry. Beyond was once the Dewshill & Duntilland Colliery but this closed in 1943.
